2025 Big Dreams - Bright Futures Annual Event - Thank You!

Mark your calendars for April 30, 2026!

We’re kicking things off early! Due to the excitement of the World Cup next summer, we’re moving our event to April, same great experience, just a little sooner in the season!  See you there! 

At our 27th-annual “Big Dreams, Bright Futures” event on June 12, Operation Breakthrough alum, Malachi Miller delivered these words for you: “You may not realize it, but your presence, your contributions, and your belief in these children ripple through time. I stand here today as living proof.”

     A fourth-year medical student who grew up at OB, Malachi emceed the evening’s program. 

     “That is the magic of Operation Breakthrough,” Malachi said. “It doesn’t just serve children, it seeds futures.”

     Dr. Andrew and Kay Parkinson were the honorary chairs of the dinner, which raised more than $1 million for our students’ care and education.

     We thank you all for “seeding” bright futures for the 772 children currently enrolled at OB and the hundreds of other students who come for hand-on STEM each school day at 31st and Troost. Your support is the sunshine they need to grow!
