Did you know that ladies in their 50s, 60s - even 80s - compete in something called Granny Basketball? They wear bloomers. They are not allowed to run on the court. They can only dribble twice before passing, and If they accidentally show a little skin, they can get what's called a "flesh foul!" Still, Granny Basketballers are fierce competitors, and you're going to get a chance to see them in action Nov. 17 at a benefit for Operation Breakthrough.
Please gather your friends and family in our new gym, at 3036 Troost, to watch the senior staff of Operation Breakthrough take on the Kansas Meadowlarks. The fun begins at 1:30 p.m. with an exhibition game between the Louisburg Tonics vs. the Kansas Sunflowers. Then the OB Sisters will take the floor against the Meadowlarks.
Other highlights include a half time show by the children of Operation Breakthrough, the chance to get a selfie with the OB SIsters' mascot, "Sister" Lee Duckett." and delicious concessions made for you by our culinary arts students.
Seating is limited, so please reserve yours today! Tickets are available for $10 each by clicking here.
If you would like to help stock our pantry, please bring a canned goods or toilet paper when you come.
Special thanks to the Kansas Meadowlarks for inviting us to play!
